Renovating a bathroom in Aix en Provence – South of France

Type and location of project: Renovation of a pretty bathroom with dressing area in the heart of Aix-en-Provence.

Guiding principle: In a pretty flat nestling in the heart of Cézanne’s hometown, this 5 m2 bathroom has been given a makeover.

Our customers chose soft, natural colours for the furniture, with a double washbasin unit in wood veneer and a white solid surface top. This mineral resin is renowned for its strength and durability. It is non-porous, hygienic, stain-resistant and easy to maintain. Perfect for use in the bathroom! It’s also for these reasons that a white shower tray made from the same material has been installed in the shower.

To nuance these soft tones, a darker wall cladding in marble-effect porcelain stoneware has been positioned in the shower and behind the bathroom wall unit. The use of large 120x240cm tiles enlarges the room and adds depth.

In addition, a dressing table has been created to give the lady a space all her own.
This simple arrangement optimises the available space without compromising practicality.To maintain the unity of the room, a piece of furniture with wood veneer, comprising two drawers and a solid surface top, has been fixed high up.This is an ideal solution for keeping small spaces free of floor clutter.A solid surface top is also very easy to clean if you spill perfume, make-up or any other beauty product.No stains to worry about! To complete the look, there’s a pretty hanging mirror, a shelf for storing a few personal items and a velvet seat.
