Bathroom opening onto the master bedroom

Do you dream of a bathroom that opens onto the master bedroom?

In this house in the Pointe-Rouge district of Marseille, our client had a generous 30m2 to convert.

In collaboration with SO2 Architecture, the architectural firm in charge of renovating the flat, the Hydropolis teams designed the layout of the master bathroom, imagined the different spaces that make it up and specified all the materials (tiles, taps, bath, basin, furniture, shower, etc.).

Our mission: To design a made-to-measure layout for a master bathroom comprising several distinct areas.

Although the space available was comfortable, the project nevertheless had several constraints:

– The bathroom was to open onto the master bedroom,
– It opened onto a large bay window and terrace.
– The owners wanted a bath with a TV area, a shower area and a double washbasin unit in the same space

Our solution: Taking into account the architect’s brief and the structure of the room with its many openings, our design team came up with different volumes to create a space for every need. The shower area was integrated into a niche, which was extended to accommodate a wall-mounted television. On the main wall, two wall-mounted washbasin units have been installed, with a pedestal unit in the centre providing ample storage space and two cupboards. For the bathroom area, our customers wanted an island bathtub in the centre of the bathroom, offering a full view of the outdoor terrace, the master bedroom, the shower area and, of course, the television!

In terms of inspiration, we’ve opted for a sleek, contemporary feel, using noble materials and soft colours such as white, beige and black. The bath, basins and shower tray are solid surface. To enhance the lines of this bathroom, black trim elements have been chosen to emphasise the woodwork. The Terrazzo effect tiles on all the bathroom walls give the room a strong identity and blend perfectly with the wood effect floor in the master bedroom.
